The “Lord Percy” a late 1930’s /early 1940’s light grey chalkstripe

£515.00£545.00

A beautiful three-piece single-breasted late 1930’s, pre 1941 suit in a light grey chalk stripe, in honour of my late father we have affectionately called this suit “The Lord Percy”

In the photos, the suit has been made with a wide leg 1930’s pattern cut, but can also be made with the narrower CC41 trousers post 1941. Note the wider leg trousers cost thirty pounds more than the standard CC41 cut.

The jacket is a two button single-breasted jacket, medium size shoulder pads with peaked lapels and an unvented rear, with three-button detailing on the cuffs.

The waistcoat is a six-button four-pocket waistcoat with a high fastening front, square back and deep “V” to the front typical of the late 1930s and 1940’s

The trousers have a button fly and have buttons on the waist for braces with a “V” notch at the rear and sit high with a rise of 14.5″ . The trousers sit just below the belly button and this is where a measurement should be taken for a correct fit.

Please note that the suits are tailor-made and any measurements for the waist should be made just below the belly button and not using modern sizes. Most people usually go up at least one size.

The suit is superb in every detail and we are very excited about this new addition to our lineup. The suits are hand-made to order in the UK out of 100% wool by our own tailor, they are not mass-produced and are of the highest quality.
