The Foyles War Suit

£515.00

This three-piece suit is our copy of the solid mid-grey three-piece suit commonly worn throughout the series. The grey suit is made from 100% virgin wool.
The suit can also be made in a blue birdseye material ( See photos)
The jacket is a two-button single breasted jacket, medium size shoulder pads with peaked lapels and an unvented rear, with three-button detailing on the cuffs.
The waistcoat is a six-button four-pocket waistcoat with a high fastening front, square back and deep “V” to the front typical of the 1940’s.

The trousers have a button fly and have buttons on the waist for braces with a  “V” notch at the rear and sit high with a rise of 14.5″ . The trousers sit just below the belly button and this is where a measurement should be taken for a correct fit.
The trousers at the bottom measure 19″ in circumference which is the correct measurement as stipulated by CC41 regulations of 1941-1951

The suit is usually finished with a turn-up leg and comes with 37” inside leg to allow for alterations to be done by yourself or by our staff for a small additional fee.
Please note that the suits are tailor-made and any measurements for the waist should be made just below the belly button and not using modern sizes. Most people usually go up at least one size.

The suit is superb in every detail and we are very excited about this new addition to our lineup. The suits are not sold as separates and the 40” jacket suits comes complete with 34” Trousers. The jackets and trousers then go up in 2″ size i.e 42″jacket with 36″ trousers and so on on up to 50″ jacket with 42″ trousers.

Any suits outside of these measurements will be special order and cost more according to size. All trousers have the ability to be let out or taken in by a maximum of 2” either way.
Again this can be done by the customer or by our in-house tailoring for a small fee.

All suits are handmade by our tailors in the UK and are not mass factory produced or laser cut. It takes four to six weeks to make the suits from point of order and payment.
